Training Analyst

We are currently recruiting for a Training Analyst to join the Scottish Power team on a contract basis based in Glasgow City Centre.

This would be a contract role initially for 12-18 months and will be a hybrid role.

Role Overview
The Training Analyst is a key project role responsible for the detailed planning, tracking, and communication of all training sessions associated with the rollout of the Mobility & Scheduling project. This role requires a highly organized individual with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. They will be required to meticulously plan, track, and communicate training sessions, ensuring optimal utilisation of resources and timely attendance by employees.

Responsibilities:
1. Training Planning and Scheduling:
• Collaborate with Project Manager, Training Lead, Department Heads, and Trainers to create a comprehensive training schedule.
• Develop a detailed timeline for training sessions, considering project milestones, employee availability and training requirements.
• Coordinate with internal trainers to align training schedules.

2. Stakeholder Communication:
• Act as a liaison between trainers, project team, and employees.
• Communicate training schedules, changes, and updates effectively to all relevant parties.
• Address any queries or concerns related to training logistics promptly.

3. Attendance Tracking and Documentation:
• Maintain accurate records of employee attendance at training sessions, ensuring all employees complete required training.
• Regularly update attendance logs and communicate attendance reports to relevant stakeholders.
• Address any discrepancies or issues related to attendance promptly.

4. Resource Management:
• Ensure that training rooms, equipment, and materials are available and prepared for each session.
• Coordinate with facilities management to secure appropriate training venues.
• Manage training resources efficiently to minimise wastage and maximise effectiveness.

5. Adaptability and Flexibility:
• Respond promptly to changes in employee availability due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., reactive unplanned work, leave, sickness etc.).
• Adjust training schedules as needed to accommodate employee needs while maintaining project timelines.

6. Attention to Detail:
• Be meticulous in tracking attendance, ensuring that no employee misses essential training sessions.
• Cross-reference attendance records with training requirements to identify gaps or potential issues.

7. Communication:
• Regularly update employees and relevant stakeholders on upcoming training sessions.
• Provide clear instructions regarding training logistics, expectations, and any changes.

8. Feedback Surveys:
• Distribute feedback surveys to training participants.
• Collect valuable insights on training content, delivery, and overall experience.
• Organise and compile feedback survey responses and summarise key findings and trends.
• Collaborate with relevant teams to implement necessary changes based on feedback.

9. Continuous Improvement:
• Evaluate the effectiveness of training schedules and adjust based on feedback and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with Training Lead, HR, and project teams to enhance training processes and optimise resource allocation.

10. Content Development:
• Familiarity with training content creation software.
• Assist in the preparation of classroom and eLearning materials, guides, demos and other supporting content.

Additional Information:
•The Training Analyst will report to the Transformation Training Lead and work closely with project teams, HR, and Department Heads.
•This role is critical to the successful rollout of our Mobility & Scheduling project, and the Training Scheduler will play an integral part in ensuring employee readiness.
